Baptism Form

There are three steps involved in baptism at LCC. They can be completed in any order. After they are completed we schedule your Baptism. 1. Baptism Class: Attend the Baptism Class offered on rotation or watch this message. 2. Baptism Questionnaire: Fill out the questions below, especially the salvation testimony portion. 3. Baptism Interview: This is a time to set down with a pastor and or a deacon at LCC in an informal way to talk through your questionnaire and share your salvation story. This is also a time for them to ask about your understanding of the Gospel and for you to ask any questions you may have as well.

What is mankind's basic problem?

Use the space below to write out your personal testimony. You can use the questions below as an optional guide.
1. Before you became a Christian: What was your life like before trusting Christ?
2. When you became a Christian: When do you think you first trusted in Jesus Christ as your savior? What means did God use to save you? Any particular people, classes, messages, verses, etc.?
3. After you became a Christian: How is your life different since accepting Christ?

Because the New Testament links Baptism & Church Membership those baptized at LCC are assumed and expected to also be in the process of becoming members. Baptism is a prerequisite for membership and those baptized are expected to continue the process of becoming a member. However, in some unique circumstances we will baptize those who are unable to join LCC but will soon be uniting with another biblical church.

Do you understand this and commit to becoming a member at LCC including attending the Membership Course?

What to expect on the day of your baptism

On the day of your baptism, there will be a point in the service where those being baptized will be instructed to head to the changing rooms (located behind the platform- women on the left (piano side) and the men on the right). A baptism t-shirt will be provided but you’ll want to bring a change of clothing (usually shorts) and a towel. A pastor will bring each one down into the baptistery one at a time, invite you to share your testimon (or read your testimony or answer a few brief questions) offer prayer and then baptize you. Afterward we invite you to be available for the church family to greet and congratulate you in the front or lobby.
